Having enjoyed many projects undertaken as a student, I learned to trust the process and enjoy discovering what can emerge through exploration and happy accidents.

This featured project was in collaboration with another student, while in college and inspired by cymatics. 

 

The challenge was to create a piece of furniture then create a commercial space with a cohesive design, intention and purpose. Melody Studios was born from our initial design which was envisioned as an exterior bench for outdoor venues, called Melody. From the bench we created a hot desk by reducing the scale and splicing the bench in two. Melody Studios was seen as a potential business model for a Co-Op music studio for budding artists.
